    Whether you choose comprehensive car insurance or third party, fire & theft car insurance, you’ll be on the road, safely and legally, knowing you’ve got the cover you need at a price you want. 

  • Up to £100,000 legal expenses cover as standard

    Some companies will charge extra for car insurance legal cover. With Asda Car Insurance you'll get up to £100,000 towards legal expenses - all included at no extra charge. And that's whether you choose comprehensive or third party fire and theft cover.

  • 24 hour claims helpline

    Because accidents and mishaps don’t happen nine-to-five, you can call upon the Asda Car Insurance 24 hour claims helpline any time, day or night.   • EU cover included as standard

    Your policy will automatically cover you to drive in all EU member states as well as those within the EEA, 45 European countries in total. It’s important you check your policy wording before traveling.

    This does not cover you for breakdowns, but you can add UK & EU Breakdown Cover to your policy.

  • A courtesy car – just when you need it

    A courtesy car comes as standard with all comprehensive Asda 5 Star and Asda Value Car Insurance policies. It is provided by an approved repairer and is subject to availability.

     

  • Unlimited UK windscreen cover

    Our comprehensive policies provide unlimited cover for windscreen repairs or replacements when you use an approved repairer°. For windscreen claims contact numbers please visit the windscreen or glass claims section of our contact us page.

  • Personal belongings cover up to £150^

    With comprehensive car insurance your personal belongings are covered up to the value of £150.

  • Audio / In-Car Entertainment Cover

    We will cover any audio or sat-nav equipment that is permanently fitted to your car.

  • Medical Expenses

    Cover for medical expenses are included on both comprehensive Asda 5 Star and Asda Value Car Insurance policies. You will receive up to £100 towards the costs. For more information please check your policy documents.

  • Third Party Property Damage

    Whether you have comprehensive or third party, fire and theft cover, we will pay for any third party property damage of up to £20,000,000. This means if you are ever involved in an accident where someone else's property has been hit, don't worry - we've got it covered.

    If you have been involved in an accident we will either cover the cost of transporting you and your passengers to one place in the UK. Or we can cover the cost of overnight accommodation. For more information, please check your policy wording.

  • Higher Audio / In-Car Entertainment Cover

    With comprehensive 5 Star cover you will get cover of up to £750 for any audio or satellite navigation equipment that are permanently fitted to your car.

Optional Extras Include

  • UK Recovery and Home Assist Breakdown Cover

    We'll try to repair your car at the roadside. If we can't fix it there and then, we'll take you, up to 7 passengers and your car to one place of repair. If we still can't repair it at the roadside on the same day, we will take you to one place of your choice.

    You can also choose for us to cover the cost of either:

    - A hire car for up to 48 hours

    - Alternative travel for up to £300

    - Overnight accommodation for you and your passengers of up to £500 + £40 towards transport for the driver to reach the garage the next day.

    Not only that, we'll also provide:

    - Assistance if you're ill and there are no able drivers with you

    - Relay phone messages to advise friends and family of your delays

  • UK & EU Breakdown Cover

    EU breakdown cover includes ALL the benefits you get in the UK, plus cover in 45 other EU countries.

  • Key Cover option up to £1,500

    Get comprehensive protection for your keys. You can cover all your keys attached to your fob. 

    This includes replacement keys, locks and immobilizer fobs. We'll also cover the cost of a hire car and onward transport costs. We'll even encourage finders by giving them a £10 reward.

    Unlike other claims, even if you don't have your NCD protection, a key cover claim won't affect it.

    Your claims helpline is available 24 hours 365 days.

  • Substitute Vehicle Cover

    Your comprehensive car insurance policy will only provide a courtesy car when yours is being repaired by an approved repairer, subject to availability. With this extra policy you would also get a substitute vehicle for 14 days in the event you make a valid claim for either the theft of your vehicle when it is unrecovered or when it is deemed a total loss.

    When you claim you can choose between a small 1.2 litre hire car or £150.

  • No Claims Discount protection

    Naturally, when you’ve built up your No Claims Discount, you don’t want to lose it - even if you make a claim. And if you’ve already built up 4 years No Claims or more, you can choose to protect it - whether you take out comprehensive or third party car insurance.
