Paris

Lille
Situated on the tip of northern France, Lille is closer to home than many may think. It also lies close to the French border with Belgium, so if you fancy a spot of light travelling you could hop over the border quite easily. Only 80 minutes from London, the French city makes an ideal getaway for all sorts of reasons. The city has two central squares which are bursting with traditional French cafes and bars, as well as stunning architecture.
Antwerp
Belgium’s cosmopolitan city offers a host of historical institutions and lively nightlife. From the visually stunning Cathedral of Our Lady to the Antwerp Zoo, you will never be lost for things to do.
If you’re on a shopping trip, head to Antwerp for diamonds. The Antwerp tourist board boasts that 80% of the world’s unpolished diamonds are traded in the city. Crowned as the diamond capital of the world, Antwerp’s diamond quarter is an ideal spot to shop for jewellery and, even if you’re not buying, visiting the diamond museum could be a nice little treat.
