As we pack away the tree for another year, find places to store all the kids’ new toys and start thinking about those New Year’s resolutions, Christmas 2019 is the last thing on our minds. However, we know all too well that it soon creeps up on us, as does the inevitable spend that comes with the holiday season. Have you thought about saving little and often to take the pressure off when December comes? That’s what we encourage our customers to do with our Christmas Savings Card, we even reward you for being so organised with a bonus too – and we’re increasing our bonuses higher than ever!
The idea of the Asda Christmas Savings Card is a card and key fob, you can keep a card in your purse or wallet to top-up a few pounds here and there with your weekly shop throughout the year, and give the key fob to another family member who can do the same – the cards are linked so all the savings will stay in one central place. Then when December comes, your savings are simply there at your fingertips, ready to fund your Christmas shopping in any Asda store. You can use your savings on a range of items from gifts to decorations, pigs in blankets to mince pies, and entertainment to Christmas party clothing!
You can save up to £485 on your Christmas Savings Card, you only need to save £280 on a card by the bonus date in November to result in a £15 bonus being rewarded (the equivalent of more than a 5% bonus on top of your savings!) If you don’t save as much as £280 throughout 2019, there are other tiers to the savings and bonus scheme too, saving as much as £230-£279 will result in a £12 bonus and saving as little as £30 will result in a £1 bonus. Previously our Christmas Savings Card offered a £6 bonus to customers saving up to £144 – so from this year, the more you save, you’ll earn even more than ever!
You need to have saved the qualifying amount by the bonus date on 17th November 2019, the bonus will automatically be paid out after this time, so you don’t even have to do anything to claim your bonus!
To get started, simply pick up your Asda Christmas Savings Card from any Asda Store. If you already have a card, you don’t need a new one to start saving – the new savings tiers will be reflected on existing cards and any current savings will remain on your card and will also count towards the new savings structure. You can top up your card at any store at any checkout (including Self-Scan and Scan & Go) or Customer Service Desk. Be sure to register your card online to protect the balance just in case you lose it.
The new Christmas Savings Card and savings tiers are available from 27th December 2018.
