Will I be charged a fee if I pay by card?
You’ll not be charged a card handling fee if you pay by Maestro, MasterCard® Debit, Visa Debit or Asda Money credit cards. If you pay by MasterCard® Visa credit card, you’ll have to pay a card handling fee of 1.5% of the order value (min £4.00, max £15.00). This will be shown on your order summary as a ‘Credit Card handling fee’. Your credit card company might charge a ‘Cash handling fee’ — check the terms and conditions of your agreement. Any credit card company charge will not appear on your order total but will appear on your credit card statement. The total sum payable by you to us will be shown in your order summary.
What payment types do you take?
You can pay with Visa/Visa Delta, MasterCard®, Maestro or Solo. Credit card payments have a handling fee of 1.5% (min £4.00, max £15.00). There’s no handling fee for debit card payments.
There’s no cash advance fee on Asda Travel Money when you pay with your Asda Money Credit Card.

What currencies can I order?
We offer over 50 different currencies including the major currencies such as Euros, US Dollars and Australian Dollars. If you can’t see what you need, or don’t know which currency to buy, just call 0800 188 4002.
Where can my order be delivered?
For security reasons, we can only deliver your foreign currency to the UK billing address of your payment card. Alternatively you can pick up your currency from one of our in-store bureaus.
Can I choose a delivery date?
Yes, we can deliver your online or phone order to your home or to an in-store Asda Travel Money bureau, where you can pick it up. You can place your order up to 14 days in advance of the collection date.
For home delivery, you can choose Next Working Day if you order before 2pm Monday to Thursday.
For bureau collection, you can order Euros and US Dollars from 24 hours prior to collection and all other currencies from 72 hours prior to collection, provided we receive and confirm your order by 2pm on the day you order.
What are the delivery charges?
All Asda Travel Money orders of £500 or more are delivered to your home for free. For orders between £50 and £499.99 there’s a charge of £3.95. You can collect in-store for free with our Click and Collect service.
What happens if I'm not at home when my money is delivered?
Because your travel money has to be signed for, a card will be left to let you know where you can collect your order. This will normally be your local Royal Mail depot or sorting office. You must take this card and the required identification with you, when you collect your travel money.

How much notice do I need to give when I order currency at an in-store bureau?
Most major currencies are available at our in-store Asda Travel Money bureaus immediately. If your selected currency is not in-stock, we can order in-store within 24-72 hours.
What ID do I require?
We take your security seriously, so you’ll need to bring:
- The payment card you used to place the order
- Valid photo ID such as a passport or driving licence, which matches the card holders details

How does my card work?
Just like any other payment card. You can use it to withdraw money from cash machines and pay for goods and services all over the world - wherever you see the MasterCard® Acceptance Mark.
How do I load funds onto my Card?
At an Asda Travel Money bureau*
Just take your Asda Currency Card and valid photo ID (such as a passport or driving licence) to any Asda Travel Money bureau.

Call Card Services on 0800 260 0355, or +44 (0)20 3284 8395 from abroad. you can pay with your debit or credit card*.
Reloads by telephone may be made up to a maximum of £750 (or currency equivalent) within 24 hours and up to an overall maximum of £1500 within a 60 day period and should appear on your Cash Passport balance within 24 hours.
Exchange rates used for telephone reloads may differ from the rates available online or at an Asda Travel Money bureau.
*Please be advised that card payments can only be accepted from the primary cardholder, whose address and personal details match those we have on file.
Internet or phone banking
Note: It may take up to 5 working days for your funds to be transferred by your bank, however, be assured that the funds will be loaded onto your Cash Passport within 24 hours of receipt. First, make sure you've registered your Card and that we have your up to date email address.
You'll need this information to make your payment:
- Bank Details Beneficiary/Payee - Access Prepaid
- Sort Code - 20-32-53
- Account Number - 63807568
- Reference - your 16 digit Cash Passport card number on the front of your card - without this reference your e-banking reload cannot be processed

Important: Payments from a bank account can only be accepted from the primary cardholder's sole bank account, whos personal details match those we have on file.
We'll load your money into your chosen currency at the time you purchase your Card. The rate of the exchange will be shown in the email confirmation or displayed in store.
Exchange rates used for internet or phone banking reloads may differ from the rates available at an Asda Travel Money bureau.
How do I use my card at a cash machine?
Look for the MasterCard® Acceptance Mark on the cash machine. If it has one, just use your card in the same way you would at a UK cash machine. Enter your PIN and select the amount you want to withdraw.
When you withdraw money abroad, or use your card to buy something, you may get the choice of paying in your domestic (or home) currency rather than the local currency. Always choose the local currency. This avoids you being charged an extra foreign exchange fee.
Can I use my card in a hotel or to prepay for other services?
Yes, but we recommend you only use the card to settle your final bill. This is because the merchant will place a hold on money on your card to cover the approximate costs of the services they are providing. The funds can be held for up to 30 days during which time you won’t be able to access them. This is called ‘pre-authorisation’. We recommend using an alternative card to pay a deposit or when asked for a card swipe at check-in.
This process is also standard practice for car hire companies and cruise liners.
What happens when my card expires?
Just take your valid photo ID to an Asda Travel Money bureau to obtain a new card and to have any funds on your existing card refunded if required.
Alternately, following purchase of your new card, you can contact Card Services to request a balance transfer from your old card.
How do I withdraw unspent funds?
You can cash out any unspent funds on your card at an Asda Travel Money bureau, withdraw them at a cash machine displaying the MasterCard® Acceptance Mark, or by calling 0800 260 0355. Alternatively, you can use the remaining balance on your card to pay for goods and services wherever MasterCard® is accepted.
What if my card is lost or stolen?
Call 0800 260 0355 immediately. If you're calling from outside the UK, visit the Cash Passport Website for a list of freephone numbers from over 70 countries.
How do I close my card?
There are two ways you can do this:
- Take your card (and valid photo ID) to an Asda Travel Money bureau and have your balance refunded.
- Contact Card Services via email or in writing. There might be a fee to pay — see the Terms and Conditions
How do I change my PIN?
Look for a UK cash machine that displays the MasterCard® Acceptance Mark. Select 'PIN Services' and follow the instructions on the screen.
