Comparing motorhome insurance quotes is simple and easy with Asda.
All you need to do is answer some straightforward questions about you and your motorhome, then we do the shopping for you, comparing quotes from some of the leading motorhome insurers in the country.
Like with any form of insurance, to get a policy that covers your motorhome you need to answer certain questions about you and your home away from home.
When you compare with Asda you’ll need to know some basic facts, like your date of birth, how long you’ve been driving and details about your motorhome, for example, the make and model of your motorhome.
But you’ll also need to know other things like where you’re going to keep it overnight, what type of cover you want and how much it’s worth.
Once you’ve done that, you’ll be able to see the cheapest motorhome insurance quotes we can find, and all you need to do is pick the policy and price that suits you best.
There are three basic types of motorhome insurance you can get quotes for when you compare with Asda. They are:
1. Comprehensive cover Comprehensive motorhome insurance policies provide the highest level of cover. They provide protection to you, your motorhome and third parties, their property and their vehicle in the event of a claim.
2. Third Party, Fire and Theft cover Third Party, Fire and Theft cover is the middle form of insurance, providing slightly less cover than comprehensive policies, but a little more than Third Party Only.
Third Party, Fire and Theft insurance means third parties, their vehicle(s) and property will be covered in the event of a claim, while your motorhome will also be protected if it’s been stolen or damaged or destroyed by fire.
3. Third Party Only cover Third Party Only cover, as the names suggests, covers damage to third parties, their vehicles and property in the event of a claim. That means you and your motorhome are not covered.
Most motorhome insurance policies will offer some level of contents cover however there will be a set limit on the amount you can claim.
For example, a motorhome policy may cover the contents of your vehicle up to the cost of £500. If you’ve got laptops, televisions and bicycles totaling more than that, you’re likely to be left out of pocket.
You should always check how much cover you have for contents, if you have any at all. If not it could leave you worse off financially in the event of a claim.
