Applying for an Asda Money Credit Card

How do I apply for an Asda Money Credit Card?

It's quick and easy to apply for an Asda Money Credit Card, you can do so online at money.asda.com/credit-cards. Before you apply, you'll need to register for an Asda.com account or log in if you've already got one.

Who can apply for an Asda Money Credit Card?

To apply, you must be aged 18 or over and a UK resident. Credit is subject to status.

How can I manage my Asda Money Credit Card?

You can manage your account online at money.asda.com/credit-cards or using the Asda Money Credit Card app.

Can I add an additional cardholder?

Yes. You can have up to 3 additional cards on your account. Please note that as the primary cardholder you remain fully liable for any balance on your account.

I've been declined for an Asda Money Credit Card. Why?

I've been referred. What next?

If your application has been referred, you don't need to do anything else. We'll contact you within 7 working days with an update on your application.

How long will it take to receive my card?

If you've ordered a new card, or recently opened a new account with us, this should be with you in 7-10 calendar days. If you requested a card more than 10 days ago, please order another card in your app or online servicing account.

What do I need to apply for an Asda Money Credit Card?

You'll need details of your income, any financial commitments and your last three years of address history.

I already have an Asda Money Credit Card. Can I apply for another one?

No, you can only hold one Asda Money Credit Card at once.

I don't have an account with Asda.com. Do I need one before applying for a Asda Money Credit Card?

Yes, you do need to register for an account with Asda before applying for an Asda Money Credit Card. You can do this when you apply for an Asda Money Credit Card, or at asda.com

What interest rate and credit limit will I be eligible for?

Before you apply, you'll need to complete an eligibility check. This will tell you whether or not you're likely to be accepted, as well as what your credit limit and APR will be. The eligibility check won't affect your credit rating.

Google Pay FAQs

What is Google Pay?

Google Pay allows you to pay with your smartphone on websites, in apps, and in stores using the cards saved in your Google Wallet.

How does it work?

To pay in stores, simply hold your smartphone by the contactless payment terminal – and the payment will be made! You may need to unlock your device for larger purchases.

To pay on websites and in apps, choose Google Pay as your payment method at the checkout.

To use your Asda Money Credit Card, make sure you have this set as your default payment card in your Google wallet

Do I need to be connected to the internet to use Google Pay?

You don’t need an internet connection to use Google Pay in shops. If you’re using it to make a purchase online, you’ll need to be connected to the internet.

How do I add my card to Google Pay?

Download the Google Wallet app from the Google Play store, and choose to add your credit card as a payment method.

When prompted, enter the details of your credit card either by typing them in or scanning your credit card with your android smartphone’s camera.

You’ll then be sent a one-time-passcode, which once entered, will enable you to use Google Pay.

Will I be charged for using Google Pay?

We won’t charge you for making purchases with Google Pay. However, there may be data usage limitations or other charges set by your smartphone’s network provider. If a Google Pay transaction takes you over your credit limit, or you break the terms of your credit agreement, usual charges will apply.

What do I do if I’m changing my smartphone?

You must remove your credit card from your Google Wallet if you upgrade or change your smartphone, if you plan on throwing it away, or if you allow someone else to use your smartphone temporarily.

What do I do if I’ve lost my smartphone, or if it’s been stolen?

If you have lost your smartphone there is no need to contact us. You are able to freeze, or replace your card via the web self-service. If the card is frozen in the app or web self-service, you won’t be able to spend on it either physically or digitally via any wallet platform until the card is unfrozen. How does Google Pay keep my information private?

We share limited personal information with Google to enable you to make transactions via Google Pay, verify information and to prevent fraud. Google does not store your personal / payment information, and your full details are never shared with the retailer when you make a purchase.

How do I remove my card from my Google Wallet?

Open your Google Wallet app and select the card you’d like to remove. In the settings menu, you should see a button or link to remove the card as a payment method from the app.
