• Can I choose the date on which I wish to pay my bill?

    Yes, you can choose from any date between the 1st and 28th of the month. You can do this by sending us an email through your Online Account Manager or by calling our Customer Services Team once you’ve been accepted.

  • Can I use my card online?

    Yes, just look out for the Mastercard name or logo in the payment options.

  • Can I withdraw cash using my card?

    On most cards, you can withdraw cash from any ATM that displays the Mastercard sign both in the UK and abroad (subject to your available cash limit). Asda Cashback Start Credit Card customers aren’t initially given a cash limit to be used for cash withdrawals, but this is reviewed over time. If a cash limit is provided the limit is reviewed from time to time. Interest is payable from the date of the transaction until the cash withdrawn is paid in full.  Please see the Terms and Conditions for the charges payable. The cash machine may also charge a fee.

  • Does the card have a monthly fee?

    The Asda Cashback Credit Card and Asda Cashback Start Credit Card do not have a monthly fee.

  • How do I make payments on my card account?

    The quickest way to make a payment to us is using the Online Account Manager or through your bank’s telephone or internet banking. You can also make payments to us over the phone, by bank giro or by cheque. There are more details of how to do this in the Online Account Manager and on your monthly statement.

  • How long will it be before I am charged interest on purchases?

    Depending on your statement date and when you make your purchase, you can have up to 50 days without paying interest if you make the monthly payment in full and on time each month.

  • How long will it take to complete the application?

    Our quick eligibility check takes about 2 minutes to complete and gives you an immediate decision about whether you’re likely to be accepted. If you’re eligible to apply, the rest of your application should take less than 5 minutes to complete. Please have the following to hand when making your application:

    • your address details for the last 3 years
    • your bank or building society details
    • your employer’s name

  • How will I know how much I owe?

    You can choose to receive paper statements through the post or eStatements via your Online Account Manager every month. Your statement will detail the transactions you've made on your card, along with any other transactions, and when your bill is due to be paid. You’ll also be able to receive weekly account updates via SMS, which can be set up using the Online Account Manager.

  • Is applying online secure?

    Yes. Our application process uses industry standard security protocols and 128 bit SSL encryption. This prevents your personal details from being viewed by anyone else.

  • What are the APRs for the card?

    Please see the Summary Information link on the apply page of the application process for details of the full range of APRs for the card. 

  • What happens if I don't pay my account in full each month?

    After making the minimum repayment on your account, it is up to you to decide on how much more to pay. Any balance that's unpaid will be carried forward and will show on next month's statement along with any interest that's accrued. If you only make the minimum payment each month it will cost you more.

  • What is the minimum monthly payment I need to make?

    You must pay either the minimum monthly payment equal to 1% of the Principal amount owing as shown on your Statement along with any outstanding Interest, charges and fees, or £5, whichever is the greater, within 20 days of the Statement Date. You can pay us more than the minimum if you want but if your Outstanding Balance is less than £5 you must pay your Outstanding Balance in full.

  • What should I do if I lose my card?

  • Where can I use my card?

    You can use your card in over 34 million locations Worldwide, anywhere you see the Mastercard sign.

  • Who is eligible to apply for a card?

    You can complete our quick eligibility check in 2 minutes, which does not impact your credit file, and get an instant decision about whether you’re eligible to apply for the card or not.  UK residents aged 18 years and over with a UK bank or building society account. You will need to provide a mobile or home telephone number and have a regular source of income through full-time or part-time employment, or be a student, or be retired. For the Asda Cashback Credit Card, you also need to have a clean credit history, i.e., no County Court Judgments (CCJs), bankruptcies or Individual Voluntary Agreements (IVAs).

  • Will I be able to use my card as soon as it arrives?

    For security, you will first need to sign the back of the card and then you can activate it by registering for the Online Account Manager by going to asda.com/creditcardregister. Alternatively you can also activate your card by calling us on the number on the activation sticker.

  • How do I use my cashback vouchers?

    You can spend your vouchers in any Asda store or online at George.com.  Please log in to your Online Account Manager for more detailed information on how to create the vouchers and any other voucher queries.
