History of British Shorthair Cats

The British Shorthair Cat is one of the oldest Great British breeds not to mention one of the most popular and can be traced back to 1898. The theories surrounding the origins of the breed are twofold. One theory suggests that the British Shorthair Cat was brought to the UK from Rome while the other theory suggests this breed has French roots. Its instantly recognisable physical traits such as its plush coat and softly rounded body are just a couple of reasons why this Pedigree breed is so widely adored, and its aristocratic looks are a testament to its breeding.
