Hip Dysplasia - This condition is a result of the hip joints slipping out of place and can result in arthritis.

Gastric Dilatation Volvulus – This is a condition that affects the stomach and is a common problem among large dog breeds like the Rottweiler. Also called Bloat, this is a potentially life-threatening condition that is caused by the stomach twisting and blocking the blood supply.

This breed has a recognisable short and glossy waterproof black and tan coat that falls into the high shedding category. While weekly bathing is not required, weekly brushing is advised for the Rottweiler’s double coat to keep the shedding under control, especially in the summer months.
