However, if you are planning on staying longer than 90 days, you will need to apply for a visa before you travel or seek a residence permit from the Turkish local authorities before the 90 days are up.
As entry requirements can change regularly, it’s always recommended that you check the gov.uk website for the latest Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) advice and information.

The amount you’ll pay for your travel insurance for Turkey will depend on various factors, such as:
- Type of policy: Whether single trip or annual multi trip.
- Level of cover: Increasing the level of cover to include things like valuables, expensive luggage, and technology can push up the cost of your travel insurance. If you’re planning on playing golf or doing any extreme sports, you’ll need to add this to your policy as an optional add-on, which can cost more.
- Pre-existing medical conditions: Travel insurance can be more expensive if you have a pre-existing condition, but it’s important to disclose it when buying your policy. This ensures you're covered for treatment abroad if needed. Failing to mention a condition could invalidate your insurance.
- Traveller age: Travel insurance typically becomes more expensive with age, as the likelihood of needing medical treatment while abroad increases.
