Should I buy Jordanian Dinars now or wait?

The Jordanian dinar has been the official national currency of Jordan since 1950. It’s used throughout Jordan, and also commonly in the West Bank [1].

One Jordanian dinar is divided into 100 qirsh (also called piastres). The Jordanian dinar used to also be divided into 1,000 fils, but fils are no longer officially used.

British pounds aren't widely accepted in Jordan outside of currency exchange bureaux, and you shouldn’t expect to be able to pay with pounds. The best currency to take with you to Jordan is Jordanian dinars.
