If you’re cruising in the countries that use the East Caribbean Dollar, it’s best to use this local currency. You can always take some US Dollars too as they are widely accepted on most of the islands. Credit cards and debit cards are also accepted but check the exchange rate and international transaction fees.

 

Are paper East Caribbean Dollars still valid?

 

Paper East Caribbean Dollars were replaced by polymer banknotes in September/August 2020, with the paper versions still accepted for five years after this date. [11]
