How does my Asda Travel Money card work?

You can use your Asda Travel Money Card just like you would any other payment card. It’s accepted worldwide wherever Mastercard is used, and you can make contactless payments, withdraw cash for free from ATMs, and manage your funds online, through the app, or by phone.

What is the best form of currency to travel with?

The best currency to have on you when you travel is the one used in the country you’re visiting. For example euros for the EU, lira for Turkey and baht for Thailand.

Is it cheaper to use cash or card abroad?

Using cash abroad is typically cheaper. Cards may incur foreign transaction fees, and you could get a better exchange rate by changing money before your trip.

Can I walk into Asda and buy euros?

Yes, you can walk into one of our Asda Money Travel bureaux and buy euros on the same day, subject to availability. You can also order currency online for Click & Collect or home delivery.
